Hello! It’s been a long time since I updated here! That doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on the game! In fact, Chapter 2 reached 82% today!!! I just wanted to say that the game is going really well! It’s taking a while to develop it because it has more dialogue, cutscenes and CGs than Chapter 1, since it focuses more on the characters, specially the last part.
Now I use Patreon for the updates, so check it out if you want! You’ll see other things like previews of CGs, exclusive screenshots and other things! I recently uploaded Apollo’s theme “Inside This Lonely Cage” there, a track featured in Chapter 2. This is a good month to support me on Patreon! It’s highly likely that Chapter 2 will be released next month. One of the rewards is being able to play the game one week early, so I recommend becoming a patron this month if you are thinking about becoming one!
The list of trigger warnings has increased with Chapter 2, now it includes: Violence, murder, death, possible animal death and mutilation. Please, do remember that Midnight Train ISN’T a horror game, though it has some horror elements. I see a lot of people calling it a horror game, but it isn’t supposed to be scary to the player! The genre is mystery/adventure.
More news! Thanks to the donations I received on itch.io and Patreon, I finally managed to gather the money required to pay the fee to upload the game on Steam!!! Midnight Train will be on Steam once I finish the 4 chapters, with bonus content exclusive for the Steam version! From now on, all the money I receive will be used to pay volunteers for their help and to support me, so that I can continue developing it. If it goes well, I hope I can open my own online shop with merch of my projects!

So I played @grimmshollow “comic-con demo” as a lucky beta/bug tester a few days ago and it was as really fun, cute and aesthetic just like how I thought. I cant talk about the demo because yeah that would spoil you guys and make ghostie reap my soul.

Hewo, @choko-flan! Finally I’ve played through all your games, even including long-forgotten Desolate Village which by great occasion is back now, so it was an amazing experience after all!
The main feature which makes me like your games so much is, sure, how the story is told - the way how it’s warping around you and then suddenly twists embarrassingly surprises me each time, but leaves pretty satisfied, though!

I didn’t get as much done this week [for Chapter 2, at least], since I’m currently working on the scripts for the remaining chapters.
I’m nearly done writing for Chapter 3, and will most likely start on Chapter 4 [which will most likely be the last chapter] next week! I somehow made myself sad while writing Chapter 3, so….that’s good. Probably.
Hey everyone, I don’t make post like this though issues are happening with my home life. Don’t like making my personal home life stuff out in the public but I’m stuck in a toxic home problem. Tried to talk to said person and ignore it but it’s getting to the way it effects my life.
I would love to move out and be able to be away from it.
ÓvÒ I would try to also getting a job to work in though worried that I’ll get anxiety and stress like school which would make me feel depressed and cry. If you can could you reshare my Patreon it even support it, I would love to continue to make games as a living. Though I’m very worried on what living environment that I’ll be able to work with.
a piece of advice my dad gave me and I’ve never forgotten is, “if you won’t worry about it in 4 months, don’t worry about it now.” saved me countless times, it’s a philosophy to adopt and help improve your life. Failed a test? ask yourself if you’ll think about this still in 4 months? Made a fool of yourself in public? I doubt even the people who saw it will remember it past today. Know you could have done better? Ran further? don’t beat yourself up over it, you can do better tomorrow. Don’t overthink things, a lot of negatives matter less than you think they do.
